Picoboot GameCube SD2SP2 Setup Guide

Set up a plug-and-play microSD card for your Picoboot-modded GameCube using an SD2SP2 adapter.

What You Need

  • Picoboot-modded Nintendo GameCube
  • SD2SP2 adapter (using SD Gecko or GC2SD may cause problems with emulators)
  • Minimum 32GB microSD card
  • Computer with a microSD card reader

Setup

Format the microSD card

  • Format the microSD card as FAT32.
  • A minimum capacity of 32GB is required.
  • Formatting will erase the card, so back up any existing files first.

Download the All-in-One Picoboot Package

  • You must be logged in to your account to download the All-in-One Picoboot file package.
  • Download the package from the provided download link on this page.

Extract the files

  • Unzip the downloaded package.
  • Copy the contents of the extracted folder directly to the root of the microSD card.
  • Do not place the entire folder inside another folder.

Install the microSD card

  • Insert the microSD card into your SD2SP2 adapter.
  • Insert the SD2SP2 adapter into the GameCube’s Serial Port 2 underneath the console.

Boot the GameCube

  • Power on the console and launch Swiss.
  • The included homebrew, emulators, and applications are ready to use.

Included Emulators

The package includes tested versions of:

  • Not64, Nintendo 64
  • Snes9x GX, Super Nintendo
  • GenPlus GX, Sega Genesis
  • FCEUGX, NES
  • VBA GX, Game Boy Advance

Game Boy Interface (GBI) is also included for use with the Game Boy Player.

The package includes plenty of content and is designed to be plug and play once the microSD card is prepared.
