How to Add Games to Your RGH Xbox 360 with Aurora

1) Legal note first

Only add games you own or have a legitimate license for. I do not provide support for piracy.

2) Recommended transfer method: FTP

  • Connect your Xbox 360 to the same network as your PC.
  • In Aurora, go to Settings and make sure FTP is enabled. Note the IP address displayed.
  • On your PC, open an FTP client (like FileZilla). Enter the Xbox IP, username, and password (default is usually xbox / xbox).
  • Once connected, browse to HDD1:\Games\.
  • Drag and drop your extracted game folder (must contain default.xex) into the Games folder.

3) Alternative transfer method: USB

  • Format a USB drive for Xbox 360.
  • Copy your extracted game folder to the USB drive.
  • Plug the USB into your Xbox 360.
  • In Aurora’s File Manager, copy the folder from the USB and paste it into HDD1:\Games\.

4) Install directly from your disc (Disc to GOD)

  • Insert your original Xbox 360 game disc into the console.
  • In Aurora, go to the Disc to GOD utility.
  • Select your disc and choose the install destination (HDD1).
  • Aurora will copy the disc contents directly to the hard drive.

5) Rescan in Aurora

  • In Aurora, go to Settings > Content Paths
  • Run a rescan. Aurora will detect the new games and display them on your dashboard.

6) Organize and play

  • Use Aurora to refresh artwork and metadata for a clean library.
  • Launch games directly from the dashboard tiles.

Notes

  • FTP is more convenient than USB for moving large game files.
  • The Disc to GOD method is the easiest if you have the game on disc.
  • If you sourced a game from the internet, make sure it is in extracted folder format before transferring. If it is an ISO file, extract it first on your PC.
