Cancellation & Refund Policy

At The Retro Hero, every order involves payment processing fees, labor, testing, inventory allocation, and in many cases custom refurbishment or modification work. Because of this, canceled orders may not always qualify for a full refund.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before shipment, but refund amounts can vary depending on how far the order has progressed.

Standard Cancellation Policy

  • Orders canceled shortly after purchase and before any work begins may qualify for a full refund.
  • Orders canceled after processing, preparation, testing, parts ordering, refurbishment, or customization has started may be subject to deductions.
  • Non-refundable payment processing fees, may be withheld from the refund amount.

Payment Processing Fees

Payment processors such as Amazon or PayPal may not return the original transaction fees to sellers when a refund is issued. In these situations, the refunded amount may exclude those non-refundable processing fees.

This helps cover unavoidable transaction costs already charged during the original purchase.

Custom and Modified Systems

Custom-built, refurbished, modded, or specially configured systems require labor and preparation time. If work has already started on a custom order, additional cancellation deductions may apply depending on the stage of completion.

Shipped Orders

Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled.
