Refund Policy


At The Retro Hero, I take pride in the quality of my products and craftsmanship. I offer a 3-month free warranty on my hardware and mod-work, ensuring an easy exchange or store credit within 90 days of purchase. If you’re not satisfied with any product, you can return it within 30 days of the order date for a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping). However, please note that I cannot provide support for any problems related to cables, video processors, or displays. I’ll do my best to assist you, but I cannot be held liable.

  • I will fix the item and send it back to the customer, covering the cost of return shipping.
  • If it cannot be repaired, I will replace it with a working one and also cover the return shipping cost.
  • If neither option is possible, the customer will receive a full refund along with reimbursement for return shipping.

The following examples show what is covered and what is not covered:

  • Your Xbox 360 GTA V disc gets scratched and it stops working, but unfortunately, it IS NOT covered.
  • If you replace the thermal paste on your PS3 and it stops working, it IS NOT covered.
  • Good news! If your Game Boy Color doesn’t turn on right out of the box, it IS covered.
  • Great news! If your PS2 slim stops reading discs within 27 days after delivery, it IS covered.

If I find any damage caused by neglect or if it is discovered that the item is not the original one purchased, I will notify the customer and return it without a refund. Items with a “Void if removed” sticker will be checked for tampering, which will void the warranty. To start a return, click on “RMA” on the Orders page and submit a request. To qualify for a complete refund, the item must be returned in the exact same physical condition as it was received. Please check your order within 72 hours of receiving it. If you find any defects, damages, or if you receive the wrong item, please and contact me right away. I will assess the problem and rectify it accordingly.


All “AS-IS” labeled items are final sale and cannot be returned.
